| Llamas can carry 20-30% of their body weight. | |
| Llamas must be conditioned to pack for a long time. | |

| They sould not be asked to carry heavy loads before 36-48 months of age. | |
| Younger llamas can learn to carry an empty pack. | |

They must learn to negociate with the pack on. |

| Llamas are very sure footed on rough trails. | |

| Llamas will not work with uneaven loadded packs. | |
| Unlike a horse, llamas have a rominant back bone and require a slightly different style pack. | |
